Frequently Asked Questions

1.       Which Stakes are attending Youth Conference?
·         Alliance, Arlington, Colleyville, Denton, Hurst, Killeen, Lewisville, Waco, Weatherford 

2.       How old do you have to be to attend? 
·         All youth who are attending must be between the ages of 14-18 years old. The recommended age cutoff date for Regional Youth Conference is September 1, 2015. This is subject to override by local priesthood leaders and/or parents. Please reference Handbook 2, Section 8.17.1.

3.       Is Youth Conference open to youth who are not members of the church?
·         Yes, we welcome all youth who are interested in attending, whether or not they are a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We expect all youth to adhere to "For the Strength of Youth" standards, complete the registration, and turn in the Parental Permission and Medical Release Form.

4.       How do I sign up?
·         Please fill out the registration form on the website between April 1st - May 1st, as well as complete the Parental Permission and Medical Release Form. Once filled out, please return to a ward Young Men's or Young Women's presidency member by May 1st. If participants do not turn in the parental permission and medical release forms, they will not be able to participate.






5.       Do adult leaders need to register?
                              ·         No.

6.       Are you having trouble registering online? 
·         Please talk with your Ward Young Men’s or Young Women’s Presidency.

7.       What if I can’t attend the entire time?
·         Please put specific information on your registration form to let us know the times you expect to be there and who will be dropping you off and picking you up.

8.       Where is it located?
·         University of Texas at Arlington

9.       Where should I park?
·         All drivers should park in the north parking lot next to the MAC.

10.       Can I bring my cell phone?
·         Cell phones are allowed during Youth Conference. Please realize that you are bringing them at your own risk. If lost, broken or stolen, you are responsible. In order to fully engage in Youth Conference, we encourage you to disengage from your mobile device as much as possible.

11.      Do I need to bring money for food?
·         Lunch, dinner, snacks, and drinks will be provided.

12.      What if I have special dietary needs?
·         If you have allergies or food restrictions, please plan to bring the food you will eat with you.

13.       Do I need to create an Event Brite account when registering?
·         No, you do not need to create or log in to an existing Event Brite account in order to complete registration. 

14.       What is the dress code for June 27th at UT Arlington? 
·          Casual dress. Jeans, pants, capris, or shorts are acceptable. If you choose to wear shorts, they need to be knee length or longer as to follow the standards outlined in the For the Strength of Youth pamphlet. Youth Conference t-shirts will be provided prior to the Saturday event at UT Arlington. All youth conference participants must wear their Youth Conference t-shirt in order to participate in all Saturday events.
